At Prints DMT, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from our systems.
What Data Can Be Deleted?
You can request deletion of personal data we have collected about you through our website and messaging services, including:
- Account information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Message history from Facebook Messenger, Instagram, email, and SMS
- Uploaded design files and artwork (if no active or pending orders)
- Order history and preferences
Data We Must Retain
For legal and business reasons, we may need to retain certain information even after a deletion request, including:
- Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes (retained for 7 years as per Canadian law)
- Records related to disputes, fraud investigations, or legal claims
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you personally
- Data necessary to fulfill active or recently completed orders
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data, please contact us using one of the following methods:

Include your full name, the email address or phone number associated with your account, and the messaging platforms you've used to contact us (Messenger, Instagram, email, SMS).

Facebook/Instagram App Deletion
If you've interacted with us through Facebook Messenger or Instagram and installed our messaging app, you can also request deletion through your Facebook Settings:
- Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy > Settings
- Click on "Apps and Websites"
- Find "PRINTS DMT" in your apps list
- Click "Remove" and follow the prompts
- Facebook will send your deletion request to us automatically
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We may ask you to provide:
- The email address or phone number associated with your account
- Recent order numbers or conversation details
- Answers to security questions
Processing Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours
- 2Verification
We verify your identity (1-2 business days)
- 3Processing
We delete your data from our active systems (3-5 business days)
- 4Confirmation
We send you a confirmation that your data has been deleted
Total timeline: Typically 5-10 business days from initial request to completion. We are required to complete deletion requests within 30 days under applicable privacy laws.
Impact of Data Deletion
After your data is deleted:
- Your account will be permanently closed and cannot be recovered
- You will lose access to order history and saved designs
- Active conversations in Messenger, Instagram, email, or SMS will be removed
- Any pending orders must be completed or cancelled before deletion
- You may create a new account in the future, but previous data will not be restored
Your Privacy Rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and international regulations (GDPR for EU users, CCPA for California users), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (right to erasure)
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Object to certain types of data processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

For Meta Platform Users
If you've contacted us through Facebook Messenger or Instagram, Meta may also store copies of our conversations in their systems. Deleting data from Prints DMT does not automatically delete data from Meta's servers. To delete data from Meta, please review Facebook's data deletion options.
